Hi there! I’m back with a project to share… Below is a card and a gift that I made for a very special little girl who recently turned two. I struggled for the right “thing” to get a 2 year old but never settled on the right toy. So… I made a scrapbook mini album (more for her parents) instead. For the card, I used a technique that I saw on a blog some time ago and had been wanting to try. It involves using alphabet dies to create a word on a diagonal. Mary’s name is cut out of a panel that is raised from the background paper. The glittered balloons were die cut separately and adhered with pop dots with thread for the strings.
I had a lot of fun making the mini album. I have actually made more mini books than cards lately. This particular mini has a side pocket with a photo mat in each page as well as many other pockets and places for photos. The sentiments used throughout capture the elements of her birthday party.
That’s all for now. Thanks so much for looking and as always,
Stay inspired!
Sabrina
