This card was a special request from a friend. My friend and his wife are members of service organizations that have blue and white colors (Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity for him and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for her). The two organizations are bound together in their constitutions and they collaborate on many social and community service projects as well as other activities on the state, regional and national levels. My friend wanted a special Christmas card for his wife that involved the colors of the fraternity and sorority. I created a couple of different samples for him but the one he selected is the one I am sharing in this post. It features two doves which are symbols featured in the crests of both organizations. I used a shimmery card stock that is close to the sorority/fraternity colors (royal blue and pure white) for the card base. The die cut doves also have a bit of shimmer to them and are 3D mounted inside a die cut circle. I absolutely loved doing this card. It was a bit of a challenge to come up with a design at first but I’m so glad they both liked the outcome!
