Hi again! Thanks for stopping by.
I mentioned in a recent post that I was trying some new things. One of which was introducing bright color. While the design I’m sharing today is still CAS (clean and simple), this card definitely fits into the color category (Tiffany blue). It features a watercolored flowering vine as the focal point. I got the idea to do this technique from a blog post–unfortunately I cannot recall where I saw the technique demonstrated. It involves layering a die cut to give it dimension before coloring it with watercolor paints. The watercolors I used here have a shimmer to them–unfortunately that shimmer does not get picked up well by the camera. I love how the plum and teal go together. My design originally did not feature a sentiment. After making the first sample card, I decided to re-make it and include two different silver foiled sympathy sentiments. These cards are very feminine and could easily be used for any reason (without a sentiment or with a different sentiment i.e. ‘Thinking of You’).
Well, that’s all for now! Stay tuned for more designs… and more Tiffany blue. 😊
Stay inspired,
Sabrina
