Hello and thanks so much for dropping by! I’m here to quickly share a card I made to give a friend.

I just love to create things for formal and regal occasions… I love using luxe materials and the planning involved with getting the smallest details just right. I recently had the privilege of attending the promotion ceremony for a friend in the military. It was my very first time attending a promotion ceremony at the Pentagon and I think my friend’s accomplishments are a huge deal. After seeing a social media post with him posing with his new one star general flag, I knew what kind of congratulatory card I would craft for the occasion. I used a frame die cut to inlay a gold foil paper with the blue on the front as well as the inside. Little did I know that the program for the ceremony used the exact same frame design! The centerpiece star on my card is layered and dimensional. I ended up having to create a box for the card to be delivered in. I originally used a magnetic closure on the box but decided to fashion a belly band to tie the style of the box to the card. This card might seem over the top to some but I think it fits the occasion. I’m so happy for our friend accomplishing such a wonderful accolade.  Below are pictures of the card from different angles, the box and even the program.

Thanks for looking!

Stay creative,

Sabrina
